Bringing knowledge and power to health care consumers has always been a primary focus for BHCAG. BHCAG believes that personal health information belongs to the individual and should not be tethered to a health plan or provider system.

Since its formation, the workgroup has evaluated the current and evolving personal health record landscape, privacy and security issues, best practices in adoption, the role of the Minnesota Health Information Exchange, connectivity issues and implementation requirements. In addition, the Employer Advisory Workgroup collaborated to create and disseminate the Health Care Purchaser Declaration.
