BHCAG is a coalition of private and public employers working together to change the health care system. Since 1988, we have used smart, data-driven solutions to improve the quality and value to ensure that individuals receive the right care, at the right time, and the right price. BHCAG collaborates with its member organizations and key players in the health care industry to give voice to the concerns of businesses and consumers, and to facilitate the problem solving process. Our mission is to redirect the health care system to focus on a collective goal of optimal health and total value.
BHCAG has been a driving force both regionally and nationally behind significant improvements in the following areas:
- Quality and patient safety
- Improving patient outcomes through provider pay-for-performance programs
- Data transparency and reporting for health plans and health care providers
- Health plan performance and plan design
All of these improvements have led to greater efficiency and cost effectiveness. With the ultimate end user always top of mind, BHCAG is also at the forefront of efforts to increase consumer engagement and to improve access to care and information for health care consumers.
